My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

A DELIGHTFUL & FUN PUPPY:  Approx. 6-7 months old / Approx. 25 lbs. & growing

Hi, my name is Zeeya!  Mostly Mutts rescued me from animal control, and I am really enjoying the love and attention I am getting from the volunteers.  I even spent some time in a great foster home recently, where I got a preview of what it is like to live in a loving home.  Boy, that is the life for me!  I’m now available for adoption, so plan to come meet me soon for some great puppy love!

• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts, and I wasn’t quite ready to play with them, I also didn’t show any aggression, so if you have a nice dog at home that would like a puppy friend, let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over or be a bit too “puppy mouthy” with.

• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  My former foster and the volunteers describe me as a super sweet, friendly and a playful puppy – who seemed to ramp up the rambunctious play as I got close to dinner time – lol.  In addition to being a typically playful pup, I am smart and curious about EVERYTHING and explore using my mouth – sticks, leaves, anything in or outside is interesting to me.  Keep an eye on me!  Keeping chew toys handy (which I love) is a good idea.  I’m quite sociable and want to be with my people wherever they are and where the action is.  I play hard then relax completely on or near my people. / My energy level is 5-7.

• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I am a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where I will be learning lots of great commands with my trainer.  I’m looking for a family that will teach me everything I need to know to grow up and become a wonderful adult dog – including starting to train me not to chew on you and the kids so we’ll all be happy – so get ready for some training with your new best friend. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts (though I sometimes benefit from a treat to convince me to go back in after time with the volunteers).  I DID sleep quietly through the night in my crate in my recent foster home. / I’ve had accidents on the shelter schedule, but I showed great promise with my potty manners in my recent foster home – sitting by the back door and giving a little whimper when I had to go out.  Please continue to be consistent with me on a good schedule, so I can fully master my potty skills.

• LIKES/DISLIKES:  I LOVE tennis balls and am always ready for a nice game of fetch – dutifully bringing the ball back for more fun!  Chew toys are great, and they keep my exploring mouth occupied.  When play time is done, I am content to be your cuddle bug until the next play session! / I can’t think of things I don’t like yet since I’m so young, but I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training.

• MEDICAL:  I've started my puppy shots, but you will have to finish these for me as I grow.  I’m also micro-chipped and spayed. I had an umbilical hernia which was been repaired when I was spayed.

If you’re ready for the fun and excitement of having a puppy as well as the training commitment, then let’s meet!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.

Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue & Adoption's Adoption Process

Our facility is currently open to the public Monday-Saturday, 11-3. We welcome you to come meet our adoptable Mutts & Kitties! Please keep in mind the following:

Many of our adoptable Mutts & Kitties are in foster homes, so please call 770-272-6888 to find out if the pet you are interested in is at our facility. With an approved application we can set up meet & greets and adoptions with a pet in foster care.
We are not yet up to full ‘staffing’ following the pandemic, so there may be times when we cannot do meet & greets or process an application on the spot.
The best first step is to submit an application via www.mostlymutts.org.
Our adoption counselors are happy to help make a great match for you and your family!

Adoption Info:
Please submit an application through our website at www.mostlymutts.org if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets. We are receiving a large volume of applications and processing may take a little bit longer than normal. We are grateful for your interest, and an adoption counselor will be in touch as quickly as possible. Please give us 48 hours to respond before sending a follow-up email.

Don’t see a dog or cat for you on the website? Submit the application anyway!! We are taking in a large number of dogs and cats weekly. Due to the overwhelming demand, many are matched with approved applicants prior to being posted online. Our adoption counselors will be happy to help make a great match for you and your family.

Who We Are:

Mostly Mutts is a 501(c)3, non-profit organization, staffed almost entirely by volunteers!

Our Mission is to help the Unwanted, Abandoned, Abused and Sick animals in our local counties. We fulfill this mission by working closely with County Animal Control Facilities, saving those who are in imminent danger of euthanasia, or those with needs which require specialized vet care that many other groups will not consider: major orthopedic issues, heartworm positive treatment, skin conditions, neglect and abuse

Please visit our website, www.mostlymutts.org for additional information about adopting a new best friend!
