The Good Stuff

Timid at first, but warms up quickly and loves attention
Gets super excited when she sees you and wags her tail like crazy
Loves to sit in your lap and be your shadow around the house
Crate-trained when you’re away and sleeps quietly (she enjoyed snoozing in a recliner last night!)
Smart girl! She followed my dog’s lead and used the doggie door on her first night
Doesn’t mind the leash—still learning, but no fuss

Things We’re Working On

Potty training is still a work in progress
She’s cautious around other dogs—getting better, but not ready to play yet
Prefers being indoors, especially in cold weather (who can blame her?!)

This sweet pup just needs a patient, loving home where she can feel safe and continue to blossom. She’s affectionate, loyal, and will make a wonderful companion for someone who can give her the time and care she deserves.

New foster dogs need time to feel safe. They may be skittish or fearful, so always stay with them outside—even in fenced yards. Ensure collars and leashes fit securely to prevent escapes. Your gentle presence and protection help them feel loved and secure.

The adoption fee helps allow Perfect Paws to provide all animals with current, age appropriate vaccinations which include, DHLPP, Kennel Cough and Rabies (if the pet is at least 13 weeks old), and spay/neuter when necessary. The fee also helps with the cost of deworming; heartworm testing (if the pet is at least 1 year old), heartworm prevention as well as flea and tick prevention for animals cared for through the rescue. 2.
Meet the Pet

We will notify you if your application has been approved to move to the next step of meeting the puppy/dog.

3.
Sign Adoption Contract

If your meet and greet goes well and you wish to finalize the adoption you will be required to sign an adoption contract and pay the fee.

4.
Pay Fee

Payment of adoption fees are to be made by cash or check.

5.
Take the Pet Home

Online application is available at our website at www.perfectpawspetrescue.org The adoption fees vary so please verify on the specific puppy/dog. This fee includes the cost of the spay or neuter surgery. Current DHLPP, Kennel Cough, and Rabies (if old enough) vaccinations. Heartworm test (if old enough), heartworm prevention, flea/ tick prevention treatment, and de-worming treatment vaccination record.

More about this rescue

Our mission is to provide a loving, safe, temporary home for dogs and puppies coming from unfortunate circumstances; be it a shelter, another rescue, or simply an individual that can no longer care for them. We will provide these animals with age appropriate vaccinations including DHLPP, Rabies(if old enough), and Kennel Cough. Our rescued dogs and puppies will be spayed/neutered, heartworm tested (if old enough), wormed, on flea/tick prevention as well as heartworm prevention. We are dedicated to the placement of these neglected, abandoned, or otherwise unwanted dogs and puppies into loving, permanent homes. We also hope to educate on the value of spay/neuter in decreasing pet overpopulation along with proper animal care and responsibility.
