Nixie is a sweet, gentle 13-year-old indoor cat who has been part of our family since she was about a year old. She’s a champion lap cat—affectionate, calm, and happiest curled up beside her person. While she’s no longer a high-energy player, she more than makes up for it with snuggles and quiet companionship.
Nixie has lived peacefully with dogs and other cats and adapts well to a calm household. She is declawed and has always lived indoors. She prefers having her own litter box and does best with consistent routines. She has a sensitive stomach but does very well on the right food.
We are preparing for extended travel and feel that, at her age, Nixie deserves a stable, quiet home where she can be loved and cared for in comfort. The ideal home would be low-stress, with plenty of cozy spots and willing laps. She has so much affection left to give and would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a loving senior cat.
