I’m a curious kitten with a sleek midnight coat and bright eyes, and while I’m still building my confidence, I’d thrive in a home with some cat experience. New people and unfamiliar places can make me a bit nervous, so I like to hang back and observe until I feel safe. Once I settle in, my playful side really shines — I love chasing toys, exploring cozy hideaways, and, best of all, curling up in a warm lap for gentle snuggles. I absolutely adore treats, which are the quickest way to earn my trust and bring out my affectionate side. With patient humans who let me go at my own pace, I grow more confident every day and show just how sweet and loyal I can be. If you’re an experienced cat lover looking for a cautious little panther who loves lap snuggles, treats, and gentle companionship, I might be the perfect match for your home
MY IDEAL HOME INVOLVES... CHILDREN: I could be good with calm/respectful children OTHER CATS: I could be a good match with a friendly cat after a slow and proper introduction. DOGS: I could be a good match with a cat-savvy dog after a proper introduction.
SOME OTHER THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT ME... FIRST TIME CAT OWNERS: I would do better in a home with cat experience ACTIVITY LEVEL: Medium-high

More about this shelter
For 125 years, the Guelph Humane Society has been dedicated to protecting and caring for the many animals with whom we share our community and our lives, and to fostering the important bonds with animals that enrich us as individuals, families and communities. Founded in 1893, the Guelph Humane Society provides care and shelter for more than 3,000 homeless, stray, injured, and abused animals each year throughout Guelph and Wellington County.
Our programs are delivered by an enthusiastic team of staff with many years of experience in animal care and welfare. In addition to paid staff, we are lucky to have over 400 active volunteers who provide thousands of hours of service each year and generously share their skills and ideas.
The Guelph Humane Society has a strong working relationship with local, provincial, and national animal welfare organizations; local school boards; the City of Guelph; Township of Centre Wellington; Township of Guelph-Eramosa; local veterinarians; the Ontario Veterinary College Health Sciences Centre at the University of Guelph; and Guelph Police Services and the Provincial Crown Attorney’s Office. We are an affiliate society of the Ontario SPCA, and proud member of the Canadian Federation of Humane Societies (CFHS).
Our organization is guided by a Board of Directors made up of volunteers with a wide range of skills and business experience. The Board also convenes several ad hoc committees, which work to address specific issues. Day-to-day operations of the shelter are managed by the Executive Director and senior staff with the Board’s general guidance.
We are a registered charitable, non-profit organization that does not receive government funding. As such, we depend on your donations and private funding to support our important work. The Guelph Humane Society charitable registration number is 119236305RR0001.
