This sweet boy is an affectionate, gentle Goldendoodle who is ready to trade his past life for a real home of his own. He was surrendered to us around Thanksgiving after spending his whole life with a doodle breeder - but in an outdoor kennel 💔 He is now learning what it means to be a beloved house dog — couches, routines, and all the good stuff. Bennett’s temperament is amazing - he’s calm, loving, and eager to be near his people. He enjoys companionship, settles nicely, and has a gentle, easygoing presence that makes him a wonderful emotional support kind of dog ❤️ He’s also a great playmate and best friend for any dog 🐕
We won’t sugarcoat his one flaw - he’s still working on housetraining. It’s not his fault, he spent his first 5 years in a kennel and this is new to him. But with structure, he’s learning quickly. He doesn’t have accidents overnight, goes potty outside and doesn’t mind wearing belly bands while he’s learning. We think sometimes he has too much fun playing (he’s in a house with 4 other doodles/poodles) and forgets to go outside. But with a routine, he does great! This will get better with time.
The Ideal Home for Bennett ❤️
🐕 A compassionate person who values kindness over perfection
🐕 He LOVES all dogs and is even fine with cats (he lived with one), but a house with just one or two other dogs would be better than the 4 he’s living with so that someone can focus on him.
🐕 Securely fenced yard
🐕 No young kids - We just wouldn’t want him to slip out a door
🐕 Someone home more often than not
Bennett is gentle, loving, and trusting. He is the kind of dog who bonds deeply and quietly — the kind who will follow you from room to room just to be near you. He has those soulful poodle eyes that just make you melt ❤️ We love Bennett.
Bennett is fostered in Seminole/Clearwater and is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm negative. He’s 5 years old, about 50lbs and his adoption fee is $400.
