If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Stitch came with her three other littermates, from a family member who could no longer take care of them. She was 7 months old then, now she has been here long enough to celebrate her second birthday.
She is good in public and crowded places, she is good with my kid sister and my other dog. She’s not good with cats, or other small animals for that matter. But on leash can be managed and is usually more aloof when supervised and controlled.
Stitch is a sweet dog once she warms up, but at first will spend quite some time getting used to new people and trusting.
Stitch would need an active family to keep her happy and out of trouble. She would love to be able to explore and go on hikes regularly. She doesn’t play much with toys, but would rather play a short game of chase. She would enjoy another dog to play with but she doesn’t need one to thrive, and can respect dogs who are not interested.
