My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🐾 Sirius – Male Black Goldendoodle Puppy (≈25-28 lbs) 🐾

Meet Sirius, a resilient little fighter and the black Goldendoodle puppy who stole our hearts! Born 07/25/25, Sirius is one of the only surviving puppies from his litter — a litter that fought for their lives just a couple months ago. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters and a lot of love in the ER, he’s now thriving and ready for his forever home.

Sirius is full of fun, curiosity, and puppy energy. He loves other dogs and cats, but he must have at least one playful dog in his new home since he will be separated from his brother. He’s going to grow into a standard-size Goldendoodle (~60+ lbs), so he’s already learning the ropes of socializing and manners!

More about this rescue

We are a non-breed specific dog rescue group, although we do tend to take in mostly large and extra-large breeds, and especially those in the hunting / sporting groups.

Love for Paws exists to protect and advocate for dogs in our community through responsible adoption, the donation of supplies and veterinary care to those in need, by assisting in the effort to limit the overpopulation of these animals and by promoting kindness and healthy opportunity for life.
