My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🐾 Meet Winnifred — Now It’s Her Turn 💕

Winnifred is a beautiful calico mama cat who’s officially done raising babies and ready to be someone’s beloved companion. After being found as a stray with her kittens, she did an amazing job caring for them—and now that all four of her babies have been adopted, it’s finally Winnifred’s time to shine.

This sweet girl is about 1 year old and has the most easygoing, gentle personality. Her former foster family describes her as chill, affectionate, and incredibly loving. She’s great with new people, settles in quickly, and enjoys calm companionship. Winnifred would do well in a relaxed home and has done best with older children who understand gentle handling.

💗 A Note About Winnifred’s Health (FIV+)

Winnifred is FIV-positive, which sounds scarier than it actually is. FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) is not contagious to humans or other animals, and many FIV+ cats live long, healthy, normal lives.

A few important things to know:

• FIV is primarily spread through deep bite wounds, not casual contact.
• FIV+ cats can live safely with other friendly, non-aggressive cats.
• Winnifred is already spayed and fully vaccinated, and she currently lives happily indoors.
• An indoor lifestyle, regular vet care, and a low-stress environment help FIV+ cats thrive.

In short: being FIV+ doesn’t define Winnifred—it’s just a small part of her story.

🏡 The Perfect Home for Winnifred
• A calm, loving home
• Indoor-only living
• Older children welcome
• Adopters who appreciate a sweet, mellow, affectionate cat
• Someone ready to give a deserving mama the happy ending she earned

Winnifred has done her job raising four healthy kittens. Now she’s ready to be someone’s lap cat, companion, and best girl. If you’re looking for a loving, low-drama cat with a heart of gold, Winnifred may be the one you’ve been waiting for. 💕
