Blueberry is a quiet, independent cat who prefers to observe the world from a safe distance. Her past didn’t give her much freedom or socialization, and because of that she can be aloof, spicy, and slow to trust—especially around new people or busy environments. Large groups, unfamiliar faces, or too much activity can feel overwhelming, and when things get hectic, Blue often chooses to retreat to a space where she feels secure.
That said, Blueberry does form bonds. She is most comfortable with one trusted person and has shown moments of affection, particularly with calm, patient adult males. Once she decides you’re “her person,” she shows a softer side, even if it’s subtle and on her own terms. We provide counseling, information, and resources to empower people to support their cats and others in the community. If cats cannot stay with their families or neighborhoods, we prioritize our intake on cats most at risk - cats in need of rehoming; kittens who need specialized care; and cats who have been abandoned, are sick or injured, or are not thriving in the community. We are committed to ensuring the highest level of attention and care for cats in our adoption program and provide a modern, free-roaming adoption center to minimize stress, serve the individual needs of each cat, and set up both cats and adopters for success.
