My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Slopes! 🐾💗
Our gorgeous, chubby queen is looking for a fresh start — and a family ready to cheer her on as she works toward a healthier, happier life.

Slopes recently came back to the shelter after the arrival of a new baby in the home became a bit overwhelming for her. She’s a sensitive soul who thrives in a calmer, low-key environment where she can relax, feel safe, and soak up all the affection she adores. And trust us… she adores affection. This girl is a professional snuggler and will happily melt into your lap for pets, belly rubs, and quiet companionship.

Slopes has previously lived with dogs, cats, and children and has done well, but her ideal home would be one that isn’t too hectic and has an owner committed to helping her feel confident, comfortable, and loved.

💗 A Health Journey Ahead
Slopes is overweight, and while that just gives us more to snuggle, it also puts her at risk for health issues like diabetes, arthritis, heart strain, and decreased mobility. It’s important that her weight-loss journey is done safely and under the guidance of a veterinarian, as sudden or rapid calorie restriction can be dangerous for cats. With the right plan, slow and steady progress, and someone to keep her engaged in gentle play, Slopes can absolutely reach a healthier lifestyle.

She’ll need an adopter who’s ready to celebrate her small victories, help her rediscover playtime, and support her in becoming the best version of herself. In return, she promises endless love, lots of purrs, and the sweetest presence in your home.

If you're looking for a cuddle buddy who’s ready for a fresh start — Slopes may be your girl. 💕🐱
