My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there — I’m Bart! A big, handsome mystery mix with the colors of a Rottweiler, maybe a German Shepherd… or possibly an Australian Kelpie. Your guess is as good as mine! All I know is I turned out pretty darn good-looking.

When I first meet someone new, I like to play a little hard to get. I might give you my best “who, me?” shy glance and pretend I’m too cool for ear scratches — but don’t let that fool you. Underneath my calm, cautious start is a total snuggle bug just waiting for the right person to earn my trust.
I came to the shelter as a stray, so my past is a bit of a mystery. But I’m not one to dwell on old stories — I’m focused on the next chapter. I’m ready for a family who sees the soft side behind my handsome face and gives me a comfy couch (and maybe a squeaky toy or two).

If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate buddy who might just need a moment to warm up before committing to full-on couch snuggles, I think we’d make a perfect match.

Love,

Bart
