Trucker is a very sweet boy who is looking for a patient home as he learns how to receive affection. Trucker loves to rub on you to let you know how sweet and happy he is, but it takes a while for him to want to receive pets and attention from you. Trucker will let you know when he's done with pets, but still likes to hang out nearby.
Trucker is the ultimate reading or TV companion. He’s an introvert at heart - he loves to lay down and hang out nearby while you do your own activities. Adorably, he tilts his head curiously while he watches you go about your business.
Trucker loves to play with toys on a string, and makes the cutest grunts when he's having fun or gets really excited!
Trucker has tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). FIV+ cats can live long happy lives with a good diet, low stress, indoor homes, loving families, and annual vet check-ins. They don't require medication and can live in a home with other non-FIV+ cats, as the virus is only passed to other cats by blood (i.e. deep bite marks) and can't be passed to dogs or humans. Please don't judge them based on a blood test!
Trucker has a lot of love to give, he just needs time and a patient environment to start learning how to receive love and pets as well. This perfect gentleman is ready to find his forever home.
Thank you for welcoming a senior cat into your family - an adoption fee of your choice is appreciated, vs. our standard adult cat adoption fee of $250.

Additional adoption info
Adoption fee is $225 per adult cat, and $300 for kittens (under 8 months old).
This ensures that the cats that come into our care receive the attention they need, are spayed or neutered, and receive a rabies vaccination at the appropriate age. For City of Toronto residents, the adoption fee includes a mandatory City of Toronto cat license that is valid for one year. As you can imagine, these fees only begin to cover our costs; donations and ongoing fundraising efforts carry us the rest of the way!
Note:
-Senior cats (8 years or older) have an adoption fee of the adopter's choice, vs. our standard adult adoption fee of $225.
-Our adoption fee for an adult bonded pair (8 months or older) is $175 per cat vs. $225 per cat. Thanks for giving two loving friends a home together!
