Coal 205111. Born Sept 20.a curious black kitten, like the pattern to his fur, when the sunlight hits, it brings out a tent of brown. He does have some stripes hidden in there. If you’re looking for any white hairs, There is a few around his ears and his armpit. He is a little lover, wants to climb on your shoulder once in a while. And will head butter you. Loves the feather wand and chasing balls. Or will be found snoozing in the sunbeam. He will fall asleep purring on your chest. I call him black beauty. So soft, He is very social, raised with the family dog, and adult cats, teens and older peeps, and loves chasing his siblings all over the house. Neutered 12/13.

If you see an animal you would like to meet, complete our online application. You will receive an email with the next steps.

Meet the Pet

Visit the facility where the animal is located. If in foster care, the foster will set up a time to meet with you.

3.
Sign Adoption Contract

One of our adoption counselors will review the animal's medical history and walk you through the paperwork.

4.
Pay Fee

Our adoption fees include spay/neuter, vaccinations and microchip.

5.
Take the Pet Home

Once the adoption process is complete, you can bring your furry friend home!

Our mission is to provide the programs and services needed to eliminate the killing of at-risk animals due to lack of space, adopter or foster.

San Antonio Pets Alive! is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Due to alarming euthanasia rates, San Antonio Pets Alive! (SAPA!) was founded in 2012. SAPA! is unique—it is the only high paced, high-volume rescue in San Antonio, saving 6,000 at-risk cats and dogs annually.

Since its inception, SAPA! has saved more than 47,000 dogs and cats. SAPA! provides safety nets for the dogs and cats that fall through the cracks of all other lifesaving options and end up on the euthanasia lists, often with just hours to be saved. SAPA! promotes the availability of these dogs and cats to other rescues, adopters and fosters.
