Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Annabelle!
This precious, scruffy little girl is perfectly unique and you'll never meet another dog quite like her. She's low energy and her ideal day includes plenty of naps, the occasional snack (clementines, apples, and broccoli are some of her favorites!), and following her person around the house like a little shadow. She's timid and shy at first, she might shake a little and lift her front paw up demurely but give her a few days and then she'll be greeting you as you come home, whining and jumping about as if nothing has ever thrilled her more. She's affectionate and likes to lean her whole face into your hand for gentle petting and love. Annabelle does well with other calm dogs and has been in foster with birds and small pets.
Annabelle does best in a quiet, adult only or teens+ home with only a couple people. She can be easily overwhelmed with a busy environment and tends to bonded closely with only one person in the home. Annabelle finds the whole idea of leashes and walks scary but loves a big back yard to poke around and explore.
Annabelle is currently in foster care, if you are interested in her please complete an adopter's profile at parl.org and email cshamgochian@parl.org to learn more about her.

The first step in our adoption process is to submit an adopter profile through our website. We then encourage you to visit PARL at 34 Elbow Street and get to know the animals we have available. You do not need an appointment, and we invite you to visit us often. PARL’s goal is to assist you in finding your best match for a lifelong companion.
When you arrive, you’ll sign PARL’s visitor log, and staff will direct you to PARL’s cat rooms, small animal spaces, or dog kennels (depending on your preference.) We encourage you to spend time outside with the dogs, or petting our cats and small animals. Please ask questions -- that's why we're here.
If you don't find what you are looking for the first time, please come see us again! Chances are that we will have some new furry friends available for adoption, and one of them might be purr-fect for you!
