My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Leo is a 1-year-old Catahoula mix with the softest eyes and the sweetest heart — he’s just waiting for the right person to help him feel safe enough to shine. This boy is very shy, and the world can feel a little big and overwhelming to him, but with patience and understanding, he’ll slowly unfold into the loving companion he truly is.

Leo needs a dog-savvy adopter who understands that building trust takes time, consistency, and kindness. Once he knows you’re his person, you’ll see his loyalty, his gentle affection, and the incredibly special bond he’s capable of forming.

He’s also part of our Paws Forward Program, which means his future family will receive 3 free post-adoption training sessions with Janette from Kind K9s to help support his confidence-building and set him up for success.

If you’re the kind of person who loves watching a shy dog blossom… if you have patience, empathy, and a soft spot for the underdogs…

Leo is waiting for you. Can't adopt? Please share!
