Hi, I’m Tootsie. I’m a somewhat active, very shy girl who takes a little time to feel safe, but once I do, my sweet side really shines. I like to explore quietly, and since getting more space, one of my favorite things is hopping up on the bed to watch birds and critters through the window. I may look calm during the day, but at night I come alive and secretly play with my toys when no one is watching.
I can be timid with new people and I don’t usually come up for attention on my own, but here’s my funny little secret. I actually love being picked up and petted once you’ve got me. I prefer affection on my terms and in gentle doses, and when that happens, I’m perfectly content to relax and enjoy it.
I haven’t been introduced to other cats yet, and I don’t have experience with dogs or kids, but with patience and time to warm up, I think I could become a playful and entertaining companion. My ideal family would understand that I move at my own pace and would give me the space to build trust. If you’re willing to go slow, I think I could be a very special part of your home.
