My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Spice — The Perfect Blend of Sweet & Independent! ✨
Spice is a beautiful 3-year-old spayed girl who’s fully vaccinated and ready to head home today! She’s the ideal balance of affectionate and independent — she loves a good petting session, but she’s also perfectly content to lounge around the house and do her own thing.
She’s playful in her own mellow way, but she’s mostly a relaxed, easy-going companion who doesn’t demand constant attention. Spice isn’t the biggest fan of pushy or ornery cats, so she’d really prefer to be your one and only queen of the house.
Her adoption fee is sponsored and reduced to just $30.
If you’d like to meet this sweet, low-maintenance girl, please call 256-362-5856 to schedule an

More about this shelter

We are the Animal Control Facility for the City of Talladega. We provide animal control services for the City of Talladega. We work with lots of rescues all over the US and Canada. We do some local adoptions but don't have many people come in locally looking to adopt. A lot of our pets are transferred to our rescue partners. We do accept donations of cleaning supplies, dry cat/kitten, dry dog/puppy food, cat litter, and chew toys. We are also always looking for short term foster homes for our pets going to rescues. Usually it's only for a 2-4 week period before the pet leaves for his/her rescue. If you are interested feel free to contact us at 256-362-5856
