My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bogart – The Boy Who Still Believes in Love

Bogart’s story begins with heartbreak. This gentle 6-year-old orange and white boy once had a home, a family, and people he trusted. But when his owners moved away, they left him behind—alone, confused, and waiting for someone who would never come back. When he was found and scanned for a microchip, the truth came out: his family had moved on without him.

Yet somehow, Bogart’s heart never hardened. He still greets every person with warmth and hope, pressing his soft paws around you in the sweetest hug, as if to say, “Thank you for seeing me.” He doesn’t ask for much—just a cozy spot to nap, a gentle hand to pet him, and someone to love.

Bogart adores and he gets along well with other cats. He would do best in a calm environment with older children who can appreciate his affectionate nature. Because he prefers a peaceful space, a home without dogs would be ideal. He’s neutered, parasite treated, vaccinated, microchipped, tested negative for FeLV/FIV healthy, and ready to start over with a family who will cherish him forever.

After all he’s been through, Bogart still believes in love. Maybe he’s been waiting all this time for someone like you to believe in him, too.

PLEASE READ:
1) I do home visits for all the cats/kittens for adoption. I am not currently able to adopt to anyone living more than 1 hour outside of Rochester, NY.

2) I require a vet reference and will contact them.

3) Most of the cats in my care come from the streets and have had a bad start in life. They usually would do best in a home with older children and NO dogs.

4) All the cats/kittens that are up for adoption will be spayed/neutered, have age appropriate vaccinations, combo tested and treated for fleas and worms.

5) An approved application is necessary prior to a meet and greet,

More about this rescue

I am a caretaker of city cat colonies and a trapper. I do rescue a few cats and kittens along the way. Lately I have found many friendly cats and abandoned cats that I am trying to find homes for.

All the cats that are up for adoption are spayed/neutered, have age appropriate vaccinations, combo tested and treated for fleas and worms.

The adoption fee helps me to recoup some of the costs and allow me to continue to TNR and rescue homeless and abandoned cats in the city.
