My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Anja is a sweet, high-energy young GSD who will thrive in an active home with a secure yard. She’s still a puppy at heart and needs plenty of appropriate outlets for her energy — especially lots of chew toys and tennis balls, which are her favorites.

She has great recall and has no issues with handling. She knows basic commands like sit, down, and stay (for a few seconds), and she’s learning more every day.

Anja is crate trained and sleeps well through the night from about 11pm until morning. She will let you know when she needs to go potty, but she does need supervision when she starts pacing the house. Her house and yard are her safe haven, as the outside world can still feel a bit scary for her. She’s also still a little leash shy, so continued gentle training will help her gain confidence.

Due to her high energy level, young children are not recommended, though teenagers may be a good match. She is aware of strangers and will benefit from positive socialization as she matures.

Anja is very loving, enjoys being petted, and wants to be close to her people. She can be a bit mouthy when the petting stops — typical puppy behavior that she’ll grow out of with consistent guidance.

Anja is a wonderful, smart girl who just needs someone patient and active to help her continue to grow into the amazing dog she’s meant to be.
