This is Jim! He’s 3 years old and from IndyHumane, before that his story is that FIDO found him roaming the streets of Indy. You would never guess that Jim was a street dog, he loves to snuggle, loves to play, is a fast learner (knows 6 tricks so far), and is the goofiest boy! Two things we’re working on is crate training (will sometimes pee in his kennel overnight, but he will do both outside when prompted) and his leash reactivity (barks and lunges at men mostly) and tendency to put on the breaks. Wary of men until he meets them in a neutral area.
I can tell that my lifestyle and home type is not going to be sustainable or fulfilling for either one of us. He has so much energy and needs I cannot meet consistently, he needs a home with a back yard, potentially some older kids, someone more active and/or possibly another dog to play with. If you’re looking for an active companion or a family dog, consider Jim! He really is a wonderful pup, but I want what’s best for him and his needs.
