Luna is a sweet, playful 10 year old dog whom we adopted 6.5 years ago from her rescuer. She came from a difficult past and can be reactive at times. We have 15 month old with another baby on the way and need to create the safest environment possible for our children while giving a comfortable home that Luna deserves in her golden years. Luna has never shown aggression towards our child, but has displayed reactivity with mouthiness (typical of a husky) and overall being startled.
Even as a 10 year old husky, Luna has great energy. She has been extremely well taken care of the past several years. We feed her a homemade diet with supplements which have kept her healthy and strong. Luna still frequently does zoomies in the backyard! She is, however, slowing down, so two 30-minute walks per day would be great for Luna. She would also do best in a calm household where she is the only dog and child.
