Luca is an exceptionally intelligent, friendly, and affectionate 2 year-old Belgian Malinois/Shepherd mix who dreams of finding her forever home in time for the holidays! She was a volunteer favorite at a shelter in Southern California, and her sweet nature and bright mind made it impossible to leave her behind, so we brought her to New England to search for her pack.
Luca learns quickly, walks beautifully on a leash, is crate-trained and house-trained, and eager to please. She is wonderful with kids, welcoming to new people, and enjoys the company of other dogs. She’s a perfect houseguest – respectful in the home and not destructive when left alone. Luca is very loving and just wants to be by her humans, whether that means going for a walk, hike, hopping in the car for an adventure, or snuggling on the couch. Her intelligence and devotion make her a truly special companion.

Shepherd's Paws Animal Rescue was established in 2015 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with the specific purpose of operating an all breed animal rescue. We are dedicated to providing rescue to abandoned, abused, neglected and homeless animals. We rescue dogs in the United States from imminent death at animal shelters, humane societies, pounds, and from owners who can no longer keep their dogs, and place them into new and permanent adoptive homes.
All of our dogs receive vet care, are up to date on their vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed or neutered.
