Hi there, I’m Daisy, and I’ve been told I’m just about the wiggliest girl this side of the North Pole. If you’re looking for a sweet, festive companion to curl up with as the snow falls, I might just be your holiday miracle.
I came to the shelter through no fault of my own, and even though new places can make me a little nervous at first, I warm up quickly. When I meet new people, my whole body wiggles like a string of Christmas lights, and I’m usually ready for treats, pets, and maybe even a little face-licking if you’re into that sort of thing. I walk nicely on leash most of the time, but if I get spooked or really want to investigate something, I can suddenly turn into a reindeer mid-takeoff. Don’t worry—I just need a moment to gather myself, a little encouragement, and I’m ready to keep going.
I’m very polite about handling and don’t mind being petted all over, having my ears checked, or even someone peeking in my mouth. I know some tricks like sit, down, and paw, and I love showing them off—especially if you’ve got my favorite freeze-dried beef liver treats.
When it comes to toys, I perk right up for squeakers and plushies. I’ll carry them proudly like a present I wrapped myself, but I’m also happy to trade for another toy or a treat. I’m gentle with chews and will even bring them over to lean against you for a cozy moment before wandering off again.
I’ve met friendly dogs here and I really enjoy a respectful dog buddy. Even when the other dog gets loud or extra excited, I stay soft, wiggly, and playful, like I’m saying, “Happy holidays, friend!” Cats I haven’t officially met yet, but with slow introductions and a pet who knows dogs, I’d probably do just fine. Kids who understand that I can be a bit shy at first would be wonderful too.
I’d be happy in an apartment or a house, as long as I get love, some playtime, and chances to build my confidence. I’m a cuddler, a treat-lover, and a medium-energy girl who just wants to be near her people. Most of all, I’m ready to settle in with a family who will help me shine as bright as the star on top of the tree.
If you’re looking for a gentle sweetheart with a big heart and an even bigger wiggle, come meet me. I’d love to spend my first Christmas in my new forever home—maybe with you.
