Meet Rigby! While he was slow to warm up, he is an absolute lovebug who enjoys cuddling on the couch or laying by your side through the night. Rigby is a hard worker at the biscuit factory and purrs at the slightest attention. While relatively quiet, he has a very subtle meow to say “hi” or let you know he wants some attention. He really enjoys chasing after the feather wand, and exploring uncharted territory (including the closet or plants). Rigby also loves to play with his brother in empty boxes or chasing through cat tunnels. Once they’ve gotten their energy out, they will nap together too. Rigby is also a big fan of churu / mousse treats and shredded cheese. Rigby has tested positive for Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV), therefore, will need a home with no other cats or with other cats that also have FeLV like his brother Roosevelt! If you are interested in Rigby or want to know more about FeLV, come down to Anti-Cruelty and meet Rigby!

Meet the Pet
The second step is to meet with pets you might be interested in adopting! Our staff and volunteers will tell you all about them.

Submit Application
Finally, fill out the adoption questionnaire. Our experienced adoption counselors will ensure it's a good fit for you and the pet!
4.
Take the Pet Home
If the adoption is a good fit, you get to take the pet home that day!

To adopt pets located at our adoption center, you must stop by during open adoption hours to start the process.
To adopt pets located at our partnering PetSmart stores, you must first visit the pet at the specific PetSmart store to start the process.
To adopt pets located in foster care, you must first submit an Anti-Cruelty Questionnaire (found on our website) to start the process.
To adopt pets located in our Home-to-Home Program, you must first contact the owner of the pet via the contact information provided in the pet's bio to start the process.
Adoption Requirements:
Must be 18 years of age or older for standard adoptions. Must have valid ID
Adoption fees are based on an animal's age and species.
Each adoption Includes:
1. Complete veterinary exam
2. Inoculations against rabies and other diseases
3. Heartworm test for dogs /Feline leukemia test for cats
4. Spaying or neutering (it's mandatory)
5. Collar
6. Lifetime ID tag
7. Permanent identification microchip
8. Dog leash or cat carrier
9. One month of free pet insurance for this important transitional period.
