My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey world, here I am!

`My name is Max, and I am 8 years old and I weigh 104 pounds, and I love to play and run around and get the zoomies and have lots of fun! I am a big boy, I am housebroken, I know lots of tricks, and I love to get as close to you as I can, so you know I`m there, and I don`t want you to forget me. One of my favorite things is to stand on the bench and put my front legs on your shoulders to give you a hug. Do you like to snuggle? I do too! Sometimes I think people think I am a goofball, but I am really a very smart boy. I know how to come, sit down, shake paws, stay, leave it, free, walk well on a leash!`

Max is a gorgeous Cane Corso, also known as an Italian Mastiff. He has plenty of energy and wiggle-butt personality. Cane Corsos LOVE their families and love to work hard at learning new tricks and skills. They`re quite the show-offs. Max enjoys spending time with other puppers and but isn`t the biggest fan of cats.

If you`re looking for a hunk of burning love to fill your heart and your home, stop by the shelter and meet Max today.

More about this shelter

With an open admission policy, a No-Kill philosophy, and more than 3,100 animals crossing our threshold each year, we have still maintained a 98% placement rate over the last 3 years.

This is an amazing feat for any organization…let alone one that takes in some of the most abused, injured and seriously ill animals imaginable.
