Application Screening – Our team will carefully review your application to ensure a good fit for both you and the pet.
Reference Check – At this stage, we will contact your references to confirm the information provided.
Schedule a Meet-and-Greet – If everything checks out, we’ll arrange a meeting between you, your family, and the pet.
Adoption Day! – If the meet-and-greet goes well, you can finalize the adoption on the same day and welcome your new furry family member home!

At Desert Paws Sanctuary, our pets are loved and cared for in foster homes while they await their forever families. Because we are a foster-based rescue, all meet-and-greets with our pets are by appointment only.
This approach allows us to give each potential adopter a personalized experience while minimizing stress for our animals. Thank you for your understanding and support in giving these pets the love and care they deserve!
