Meet Peluche – The Sweet, Scruffy Friend Who Just Wants to Belong ✨

Peluche is a 2-year-old Wirehaired Terrier/Standard Schnauzer mix, a blend that brings together the best of both breeds. Wirehaired Terriers are known for their spirited, affectionate nature, while Standard Schnauzers are intelligent, loyal, and deeply people-oriented. Peluche captures that perfect balance, smart, social, and eager to connect with his humans.

Rescued from a high-kill shelter, Peluche may be a little shy when he first meets someone new, but that hesitation melts away quickly. Within moments, he becomes warm, loving, and ready to be your friend. He’s good with other dogs and seems to prefer spending time with bigger dogs closer to his own size. With children, he does wonderfully especially those who are respectful and gentle with animals.
Peluche shows great house manners, does well in his crate, and enjoys going for car rides. He’s treat motivated, likes to spend time outside playing in the yard, and is happiest when he gets to be around his people. He’s social, loyal, and truly wants to be part of the family’s daily routine.

He’s adaptable and would do well in an apartment or condo just as easily as a home with a yard. Peluche doesn’t need anything fancy he just needs a family who will love him, give him consistency, and make him feel safe and included.

Home Check

Our Home Checks are Virtual on Zoom, FaceTime, Messenger..... followed by reference check as well as a vet reference check.

Meet the Pet

Once your application has been approved and we think the dog you have applied for is a good match we will then set up a meet & greet.

Approve Application

Sign Adoption Contract

Pay Fee

Once the adoption contract and fee have been received the dog can go home with the approved adopter.

We are dedicated to providing the best possible care for these animals until they can be placed into a loving home. Our ultimate goal is to reduce the number of dogs that are euthanized each year in shelters due to lack of adoptions.
