Parker is a sweet 4 month old Chihuahua mix who is still learning that the world is a safe and loving place. This gentle boy came into foster care very shy, but with time, patience, and a calm environment, he’s slowly beginning to open up — and it’s been wonderful to watch his personality emerge. He is a quiet, thoughtful little guy who prefers to observe from a distance until he feels comfortable. He’s still too shy to come up for pets, but he`s getting braver every day. Once Parker trusts you, you can see the spark of playfulness start to show! He loves running around the yard doing zoomies and showing off his happy, silly side. He is also a sock thief — he loves to gather socks and bits of clothing and gently carry them back to his kennel like treasured souvenirs. It’s part of his comfort routine and just adds to his charm.
Parker will thrive in a patient, low-pressure home with another friendly dog who can show him the ropes and help him continue growing his confidence. He’s not ready for a lot of handling yet, but with time and trust, he has the potential to blossom into a loving, loyal companion.
