Furever home Needed for Mallard
Mallard is an adult Treeing Walker Coonhound who is looking for a safe, comfortable foster home while he completes his vetting. He came to us as a stray, and despite everything he has been through, he has shown nothing but sweetness and steady, gentle charm.

This handsome hound is good with other dogs and enjoys their company. He has a calm, friendly disposition and would thrive in a foster home that can give him a soft place to land, consistent care, and a little patience as he settles in.

Mallard is a truly sweet boy who deserves a warm, welcoming space while he prepares for his next chapter. If you can open your home to him during this time, he will be deeply grateful—and make a wonderful temporary companion.

We require all adopters to complete an application and pay an adoption fee. Adoption fees vary, but are usually $160 to $185. We may do a vet reference check and/or home visit.

It Takes A Village Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians and partner rescues or shelters, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, special medical needs, senior dogs, black dogs and other hard-to-place animals.
