Meet Amy, a four-month-old kitten with a tender soul. She and her littermates were found when they were only a few weeks old and were lucky enough to be taken in by a wonderful woman who cared for them and worked patiently to help them learn that people can be kind. Because they had never been around humans, socialization took time and effort, and thanks to that dedication, all of Amy’s siblings have found homes.
Amy is still waiting, simply because she’s a little more shy. She prefers to hide and observe at first, but when you pick her up, she melts into your arms and purrs, letting her guard down just enough to show you who she really is. She did very well in her foster home, but coming to the shelter has been another big change for her.
Amy will likely be shy in a new home at first, but with a little extra patience, love, and TLC, we know she won’t take long to blossom. She just needs someone willing to give her the time she needs to feel safe and loved, and when she does, you’ll have a quiet, sweet companion who is so worth the wait.
