Peanut Lee is a sweet 6-month-old male pup with a gentle heart and lots of potential. He’s still learning the ropes, but with a little more practice he may already be catching on to “sit,” and he enjoys investigating toys at his own pace. Peanut is very food-motivated, which can be a wonderful tool for helping adopters build trust and continue his training.
Peanut can be a bit nervous around people at first, but he shows his softer side by leaning in for gentle petting once he feels safe. Because of this sensitivity, he may do best in a home with older children who can recognize and respect his body language. We require that young children meet Peanut Lee prior to adoption, and we recommend that all family members meet him to ensure a good match.
With a gradual and thoughtful introduction, Peanut Lee may be able to live happily with another dog. Adopters should be prepared to give him time, patience, and space to adjust, and in return they’ll be rewarded with a loving companion who just needs a little understanding to shine.

About the Adoption

About a week after you adopt, a CAHS Adoption Counselor will follow-up with you to see how things are going and offer assistance should you need it.
