My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is my bff Faith. She came from Fort Drum, and I don’t know why, but she’s always had my heart. She’s been thru a lot…she’s been on the shelter 39 days already, because her and her brother Caleb were very sick for awhile. She’s better now, and ready for a home. She’s quite timid, but once you start petting her, she melts. She even lets you hold her. With the right patient owner, I think she’d be a kitty that would never leave your lap. Someone please adopt my little friend so she has a home for Christmas! Faith is almost 6 months, but she’s tiny.

More about this shelter

The Lewis County Humane Society is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation which owns and operates a no-kill animal shelter on the Pine Grove Rd in Glenfield, NY. That shelter is contracted with the townships in Lewis County to house dogs brought in from the townships by the dog control officers. The shelter also houses homeless cats from the county.
Our shelter relies on the generosity of our supporters because shelter expenses far exceed our revenue. We greatly appreciate all your support which enables us to care for and find new homes for all the wonderful animals at our shelter.
