My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet & Shy with Adoption Fee Reduced

Hi… I’m Milo.

I may not be the loudest meower in the room, but I promise I’m the gentlest heart at 10 years young.

I’m a quiet guy who does best in peaceful places—think soft blankets, calm voices, and the kind of household where you can hear a pin drop and it’s not a toy mouse. Loud noises and chaos make me nervous, so I’m looking for a home that understands slow introductions and soft head scratches.

I’m loyal, affectionate once I trust you, and a total pro at cozy companionship. But I’ve got some… preferences:

No cats (I prefer to be your one and only)

No dogs (too much energy—no thanks)

No small children (tiny humans can be unpredictable!)

If you’ve got a calm heart and a peaceful home, I’d love to be your steady friend. My adoption fee has been reduced, not because I’m any less wonderful—just because I’ve been waiting patiently for you.

Let’s keep it simple, soft, and sweet—just like me.

If you are interested in adopting, applications can be found on our website www.ahimsahaven.org.

Meet and greets are with an approved application by appointment only.

As always, cats that are ready to be adopted are spayed/neutered, have age appropriate shots, are micro-chipped, dewormed/deflead, and FEL/FIV tested.

Additional adoption info

Our animal listings are updated daily to reflect any adoptions, sometimes even minutes after the adoption. Should you see an animal you are interested in please visit our website (ahimsahaven.org) to fill out an Adoption Application.

As we are an all volunteer organization, we are not able to answer phone/email inquiries about specific cats until your application has been submitted and approved.

Current fees can be found on our website at ahimsahaven.org

Some animals are part of our Take A Chance On Me program and have a small adoption fee. You can see which ones on our website's "Take A Chance On Me" page.

Our adoption fees include spay or neuter, vaccinations. Ahimsa Haven Animal Rescue is a nonprofit organization, so your donations are tax deductible. Our adoption policies are as follows: We require a signed adoption contract, and payment of adoption fee prior to placement. Fee is refundable if the animal is returned within 30 days. We require that the animal be returned to our care, in the event the placement does not work out even if that is many years in the future.

More about this rescue

Ahimsa Haven was incorporated in 1999 as a nonprofit animal rescue group. Our mission is to find good homes for abandoned, homeless and unwanted domestic animals.

Ahimsa is a term from an eastern religion that means "To do no harm, in thought or deed, to any living creature". Every penny we raise goes to the animals - no one gets a salary!
