FOSTER REASON: I’m recovering from a doggie cold. The medicines are helping, but the vet thinks I will feel much better if I can rest in a cozy home. I’m also heartworm positive and starting treatment, so I need a loving place to rest and heal. If you will allow me as your guest for any amount of this time, I would be forever grateful!

To adopt a pet from the SPCA of Texas, we not only help make love connections, but we then walk you through an adoption process that is geared to ensuring you and the pet are a great match. There is a contract to sign at the end of the process. Adoption fees are as follows:
Puppies 0-6 months: $150
Adult dogs 6 months or older: $75

The adoption fee includes age-appropriate vaccinations (which can include Rabies, Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvo, Parainfluenza and Bordetella), spay/neuter surgery, deworming treatment, initial heartworm preventative, a rabies tag, Free health examination within fourteen days of the adoption thanks to our partnership with VCA Animal Hospitals, a leash and a microchip. Dogs over 6 months of age are also given a heartworm test (SNAP occult). Free week of training through Good Pup.
Kittens: $150
Cats: $75

Also included is a free week of training through Good Pup.
