Meet Charlotte — a true gem of a dog and the ultimate couch-potato cuddle bug!
At around 2 years old and 47 lbs, Charlotte is the perfect blend of calm, sweet, and low-maintenance. She came to us pregnant, lovingly raised her puppies, and now that they’re weaned and she’s been fully cleared by our vet, Charlotte is finally ready for a family of her own.
Charlotte enjoys short bursts of play but is mostly happiest curled up next to you on the couch or perched by a window watching the birds. She’s potty trained and leash trained. She would do best in a home with someone who is home a lot, especially while she settles in and builds confidence in a new environment.
She does not do well with crating and will need a home where she is not confined to a crate. Charlotte is very dog-friendly and would thrive in a home with another dog for companionship. She finds comfort in canine friends, and as an only dog her foster could see her potentially developing separation anxiety simply because she bonds so deeply.
Charlotte hasn’t lived with children, but she’s incredibly chill and non-reactive, even when her foster gently tested ears and tail handling. She could do well with respectful kids.
She does have a high prey drive when it comes to squirrels, birds, and critters, so she’s not a good fit for a home with cats.
If you’re looking for an easy, affectionate, low-maintenance companion who wants nothing more than to be near her people, Charlotte will be an incredible match. She’s a loyal, loving girl who will make someone very, very lucky.
