Here's what the humans have to say about me:
A little bit about Sunny: - Unknown history with children; all interactions should be carefully supervised by an adult - Unknown history with cats and other small animals; all introductions should be done slowly over a period of time - Unknown history with other dogs; potential for another dog in home pending successful introduction
Meet Sunny, a young German Shepherd with a bright name and an even brighter personality! At just one year old, Sunny is still growing into himself and learning the ropes of how to be a truly pupstanding citizen. He came to the shelter through no fault of his own and is now looking for a committed home ready to help him continue his education.
Sunny will thrive with a family who can provide plenty of mental and physical enrichment, along with positive-reinforcement training to help channel his intelligence and energy in all the right ways. He’s an eager learner who enjoys having a job to do and benefits from structure, consistency, and clear communication.
When it’s eventually time to relax, Sunny is all about affection (especially chest and neck scritches, which he absolutely loves). With guidance, patience, and lots of love, Sunny is sure to grow into a loyal, confident companion.

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.
Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.
Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.
Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.
Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.
Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
