This parakeet came in with ocean and Rumi. They should not be adopted to live alone - parakeets are very social birds who thrive in the company of their friends!
Adoption fee for one parakeet is $25, each additional adopted at the same time has a discounted adoption fee of $20.

Let me tell you more about us. We should get out-of-cage time every day to stretch our wings and relieve boredom. Please give us plenty of toys, swings, and perches, and then sit back and watch for hours of entertainment!
We should be fed a variety of pellets, seeds, and fresh veggies & fruits.
Housing requirements: Most housing sold at pet stores is too small for small pets. They are going to be spending most of their lives inside their cage; your housing must be as large as the below or larger (bigger is always better!) in order to adopt this pet.
- For 1-2 parakeets, 22" wide x 16" deep x 27" high. With more birds the cage must be larger
- Bar spacing no wider than ½ inch
- Parakeets need more horizontal flight space than they do vertical.
Parakeets are a social species, meaning they usually enjoy the company of their own kind. If there are two names listed together (eg Peanut Butter w/Jelly), that means that the two animals are a bonded pair of friends, and must be adopted together.
Got a single at home you’re looking for a friend for? Any animal listed alone on our website is a single and a great candidate; if there is a group of 3 or more, usually one can be taken out of that group as a companion for your single.
