Meet Sherrie, a gorgeous long-haired girl with a tender heart and a lot of love to give. Sherrie was transferred to us from another rescue that stepped in to save her just before she was scheduled for euthanasia, after she was deemed “unadoptable.” Her behavior - such as flinching when hands are raised - suggests she may have experienced abuse or rough handling earlier in life.
Despite her difficult past, Sherrie is a truly sweet and affectionate kitty who seeks out attention and enjoys being petted. She is an indoor-only cat who may be shy at first, but with patience and gentle handling, she warms up and forms strong bonds. Sherrie would do best in a calm home with a compassionate adopter and older children who understand how to interact kindly and respectfully with cats.
