“What greater gift than the love of a cat.” And do we have a special one for you -
meet Perjury!
Yes, while perjury involves knowingly lying…we just think she was just lying under oath about how sweet she is under all that sass.
This little lady is just over two years old & hovers around six pounds and is looking for a home to call her own. While she hardly tolerates other cats in the free roaming cat room—we think she may be suited to living her best “cattitude” life solo, maybe she’d do okay with another feline companion. Maybe.
Perjury might best be suited to a home without small children, she would probably be okay with older kids or teenagers. As long as she’s got beds up high or places to perch away from unwanted hands— She has spent time with a foster and is litter box trained, likes to lounge in the sun and swat at you for pets when she decides.
Shes an all star head-butter, loves to bathe with her toes outstretched in the air, will lovingly stare you down and approach for affection— She’s great with boundaries and will let you know when she’s done receiving pets and scratches with a gentle swipe.
Perjury is happiest curled in a sun spot in a cozy bed receiving chin scratches. Or staring/lovingly glaring through the Free Roaming Cat Room window at the front desk ladies--Often misunderstood, we think she’s a special girl who deserves a home who understands she has boundaries!
If you’re interested in meeting this sassy lady come by the shelter or call ahead to meet her!

Please come visit! We are open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
