My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Garfield (Yes… that Garfield)

This magnificent, oversized orange tabby did not earn his name — it was bestowed upon him immediately, naturally, and without debate. Garfield is the largest orange tabby we’ve ever had grace our halls, and much like his comic namesake, he has thoughts. Lots of them. Complaints, requests, commentary… all delivered loudly and often.

Garfield came to us after his beloved owner passed away, and while his world changed, his love of people did not. He is incredibly affectionate and has zero shame about launching his substantial body directly onto your lap at every opportunity. Lap available? Garfield will find it.

Food? Yes. All of it. Any of it. Much like the cartoon, Garfield enjoys eating and could technically stand to lose a few pounds… but honestly, who’s counting when you’re this charming?

At 12 years young, Garfield is wise, wonderful, and still very much living his best life. He is eligible for our Senior to Senior program and Pets for Patriots, and is (not so) patiently waiting for his next set of digs — preferably with soft furniture, snacks on demand, and someone willing to listen to his daily monologue.

If you’re looking for a cat with personality, presence, and an opinion on everything, Garfield is ready to move in and take over your heart (and couch). 🐾🧡
