Kookaburra came to us with a broken leg. She had an operation to fix the leg and is now doing wonderfully! She has been contained during healing so she is ready to let loose on the world! She is a really beautiful long haired tabby and is a very sweet and social girl. Kookaburra would make great friends with cats and humans.

Applicants must willing to drive to Lexington or Irmo, SC for kittens to receive booster vaccinations and neuter through CARE. They will need to return to us for the following:

All kittens receive a series of 2-4 distemper vaccines (based on age), rabies vaccine, several dewormings, microchips, FELV test (one from each litter is FELV/FIV combo tested), and are spayed/neutered through CARE.

Additional adoption info

We adopt out of state at the adopter's expense. Please inquire about the process if you are out of state.

We require potential adopters to fill out an adoption application. Once we receive the application back we will check references (to be included in the application), a home visit will then be set up to see if the animal fits the family and the family fits the animal.

If the potential adopter is approved and all vet care has been finished on the pet, a non-refundable adoption fee is due via check, cash, Zelle or Paypal.

We will check back on you and your new pet in a few days, 1 month and at 3 months (if there is a need, to make sure the adjustment period is a success). Should the adoption not work out, we will always take the animal back as quick as we can. It is required they are ONLY returned to us. Our screening process is geared to hopefully avoid unecessary returns. Please keep this in mind when adopting - it is intended to be a LONG TERM COMMITMENT.

Please ask the foster parent what the adoption fee is as some vary.

All animals come with the following (what the fee includes):

Exam, vaccines, dewormings, microchip, heartworm test (dogs) or FELV/FIV test (cats/kittens), and spay or neuter.

We foster pets in our own homes. We will be happy to show them to you by appointment. Please call or email to arrange. Our foster homes are in and around Lexington, SC (mainly). Out of state adoptions are ok, but same adoption procedures apply.
