My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is not your usual biography for a kitty looking for her forever human family, instead, it’s more of a “cat seeking cat” request.

Meet Firefly, an independent, beautiful dilute calico who is on the search for a feline friend, moreso than a human buddy. She’s a bit shy around people and prefers to take her time warming up, but when it comes to other cats, she’s a natural! Firefly gets along with cats of all sizes and ages, making her the perfect low-maintenance companion for a kitty in need of a buddy.

She’s well-mannered and doesn’t ask for the extras, so if you’re looking to add a friend for your current cat, Firefly could be just the right fit. She’ll need some time to adjust to her new home, but once she’s comfortable, she’ll be the calm, gentle companion your cat has been waiting for! And for the right human, if allowed in her circle of trust, she’ll turn on the charm full speed for a Churu treat!

Firefly would do best in a calm and quiet home without young children or a lot of foot traffic. She is fine with cat-friendly dogs and is ultimately looking for a feline friend or friends to share snacks and naps together.

To start the adoption process, an application must be completed and approved. You will find our full adoption process and the application at www.aarflove.org.

We also have kitty adoption events most Saturdays from 12-3pm, where you can meet and interact with some of our available kitties. See our website for more information.

If your application is a good match for the pet you’ve applied for, or one of the other pets in our care, we will reach out to you.

3.

Meet the Pet

If you are matched to one of our pets, we will have you meet at a mutually agreed upon location. We want to be sure there is a connection.

4.

Home Check

If distance is an issue, a virtual tour or video of your home can be arranged. We are not looking for a perfect home, just a safe home

Additional adoption info

We have potential adopters complete our adoption application. We will then arrange a meet and greet at a mutually agreed upon place; for cats, it is our adoption playroom. If it is a good match we do a home check to make sure all other pets and persons in the home all get along and we check the security of the home.

More about this rescue

All Animal Rescue & Friends (AARF) is a 501(c)3 non-profit all-volunteer rescue organization focused on physically rescuing and reuniting lost/found animals within our community. We provide medical assistance and care to the injured, abused/neglected, abandoned, and under-age animals. We also rescue at-risk animals from local shelters.

For the animals that come into our Rescue, they are placed in safe, nurturing foster homes to prepare them for adoption. We are dedicated to match each and every animal with the very best forever home.

We are committed to providing education and support for local TNR efforts/colony caretakers, the promotion of local spay/neuter programs, the importance of microchips for reuniting lost pets, and general wellness and care for pets within our community.
