Hi, meet Rocky, he is a German Shepard Akita mix that my family adopted from a kill shelter in July 2025. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, we must re-home him as soon as possible. We fell in love with him at the shelter because he is so playful, happy, and good with my three and five year old. He is also fully crate trained and will put himself in his crate. He knows how to sit and lay down, but that is about it.
Issues Rocky has:
- jumping-while-excited and play biting. Needs to learn redirection.
- aggressive with other animals, needs to be in a home with no other pets.
- pulls while walking, his new owner will need to use a short leash
- does not know his strength and will knock you over out of pure excitement
Needs:
- training
- someone who can give him attention - needs mental stimulation
- to be walked daily
- to be in a home with a backyard
