My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Age: two years Weight: 70 lbs

Meet Rookie! He's house and crate trained and does great on the leash. He's playful and loves exercise making him a great addition for an active family. Rookie is great with other dogs and older kids. He's not "bad" with cats but will playfully chase them. Rookie is well behaved and been professionally trained but is having difficulty breaking his habit of jumping on people when he gets excited. For this reason we think he would do best in a home with old kids, if any.

He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative. His adoption fee is $275 and you can apply to meet him here: Adoption Application - Legacy Humane Society

We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Adopters will complete an adoption app. If he/she has a pet, we will check their vet reference and a home visit is not needed (as long as the vet reference is current). All pets must be up to date current on Heartworm prevention and S/N. If a home visit is needed, we will complete that ASAP--as we don't want any delays in the adoption process. The adoption fees are listed here: https://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoption-fees/. There is a 5-day grace period to make sure he/she is a good fit for your family. A full refund will be issued if the pet is returned within the 5-day trial period.
