My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Winnie!  This gorgeous girl is 3 1/2 years old and looking for a forever home.  A Maltese mix, she is a true comfort dog, loving the quiet, calm life. Winnie likes to be held like a baby and thrives on stability and tranquility.  Winnie does love other dogs and older children (the young ones scare her) and would love a home where someone is around a lot to cuddle and give her tummy rubs. Young retirees would be her ideal.  She is housebroken and well trained, but will have an accident if she is scared or startled.  About 15 pounds.

Winnie is in our "direct from owner program" meaning that she will remain with her current owner until the right adopter is found.  Chesed Rescue will process all applications and will run background and vet checks on all applicants.   There are no adoption fees (but a donation to Chesed Rescue is always appreciated).

We have records of Winnie's vaccines but adopter will be required to have her spayed.

More about this rescue

Chesed Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to the rescue and placement of unwanted animals. “Chesed” is often translated as “loving kindness”. Acts qualify as “chesed” when they are motivated by a spirit of generosity, not obligation.

Chesed is a small rescue, where we get to know each animal as an individual. Our placements focus on not just finding excellent homes, but excellent homes that are the right fit for each pet. Our adoption criteria is strict. We work hard to get these pets to safety, we donate many hours to their care, and will not settle for anything less that a great home for their future.

All of our pets are in foster homes, where they get used to being a loved house pet. If you are interested in saving lives and getting fuzzy snuggles, please apply to foster at www.chesed-rescue.org/fostering.

In addition to our adoption and education programs, we manage the Kobi center, which provides those less fortunate or those on a fixed income with necessary pet supplies, food and medications.
