My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*** Jack is in a foster home. ***

Jack #20023: orange tabby & white, short hair, neutered male, born approx. 10/11/24

Cats: solo kitty
Dogs: no
Children: past toddler

BACKGROUND: Jack was found on the streets by a Good Samaritan. He had a severe eye infection and the vet where he was first taken tried to save it but ultimately judged it was better to remove the eye. He came to The Rescue House a few weeks later, has been a wonderful guest in foster care, and is now looking forward to finding a forever home!

PERSONALITY: Jack is a softie at heart. He is very happy to be living in companionable comfort with people! He absolutely loves affection and will happily come over, curl up on your lap, and purr non-stop while encouraging you to keep petting him. When he’s not snuggling with you, one of his favorite pastimes is to bask in a sunny window. Thus far, Jack has been a little intimidated by some typical toys like wands with the way they move around; the simpler and quieter ones work best for him and he particularly loves his scratch pads. Jack has the sweetest gentle-sounding meow and is a true gentleman.

COMPATIBILITY: Jack wants to be your only fur-child. He prefers being a solo kitty and does not like dogs. Gentle children five and up who can understand that Jack’s missing eye means his peripheral vision is reduced and won’t startle him by moving too fast when he can’t see should be all right.

Will this winsome boy win your heart?
