My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

• To meet or adopt Opal, please submit a Q&A for her on our website: http://goodhomepetadoptions.org/adopt or visit her in our Cat Lounge. We are not able to reply to DMs, emails or inquiries made through 3rd party pet adoption websites.
• Read more about Opal on Instagram @goodhomepetadoptions
• DOB: 5/26/2025 (est)
• Temperament: Gentle, sensitive, sweet, would make a lovely companion for a quiet home. Can be a single.

Hello, I’m Opal. I found my way to Good Home when a friendly rescuer found me in Ditmas Park and took me in. Now I’m living in the Cat Lounge and I’m slowly coming out of my shell and learning that it’s fun to socialize with both humans and other cats!

Though I’m a quiet, careful girl I’m also becoming more and more curious. I’m not fearful, I just like to get a feel for the vibe of a room before making a graceful entrance. And while I’m learning about toys and playtime, my human friends in the Lounge say I’m the cat most likely to enjoy a cozy, cheerful dinner with friends :)

I would do best in a quiet home with low to moderate activity. I’d love to have a human companion who works from home and enjoys a movie night on the couch with me! And while I could live happily with another chill kitty who matches my energy, I could also be happy as a single cat. And since I’m not a fan of loud noises or sudden movements, I would not do great in a home with kids or a dog. Could you be my companion for a cozy evening at home?
