Meet Alexa! Alexa came to us as a stray from New Mexico. She is fairly shy at first, but very gentle and will just lay down or hide if she's nervous. Once she warms up, she offers the sweetest loving looks at her people and will climb up on the couch next to you for attention and pets, or jump gently up with her paws on you to ask for pets. She loves toys, especially stuffed toys, and snacks. She is very food motivated and will be easy to work with. She is kennel trained and loves to curl up on her dog bed or blankets in her kennel, as her safe space. Alexa will need a home with another dog or two, since she loves all other dogs and will need guidance from a confident friendly dog.
Alexa is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines.

At Wild West Pet Rescue and Transport, our mission is to relocate pets from the saturated areas of New Mexico, Arizona, and Utah, to areas where there are more opportunities for adoption. We provide safe, compassionate, and effective rescue and transportation services for animals in need. We strive to find loving homes for abandoned, neglected, or displaced pets, focusing on those most at risk of euthanasia and in need of medical care. Through collaboration with shelters, volunteers, and local organizations, we aim to reduce the number of homeless animals and advocate for their well-being.
