My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Frosty is an old man with the best personality and many, many years left on his "tires!" At approximately 8-9 years old, Frosty was surrendered to a Texas animal shelter where he sat and waited... waited for his people to return for him... waiting for someone to pick him over a puppy... and it never happened. Networked to our rescue, we immediately fell in love with his frosted-face and genuine personality; and we decided he needed to come to us. And boy are we glad he's here - because he is *truly* a delightful guy! Frosty is dog friendly, cat-friendly, great with people and kids, and is just a big ole lover boy. He is good in his kennel, potty trained, and incredibly sweet and docile. He doesn't ask for much, just a warm spot on the couch and a bowl full of high quality kibble. That's it! We know seniors aren't for everyone - but if you've ever considered an oldie, this is the one for you.

Additional adoption info

Our rigorous adoption process ensures we are selecting the right home for each individual dog and his/her unique personality. This includes an application, home check, veterinary reference check, personal reference checks (only in certain situations), landlord checks (for rentals), phone interview with candidate, and meet and greet with our dog. From there we sign paperwork, pay the fee and send the dog home. We follow up frequently during the first few weeks, but are always a resource to our adopters.
