Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Squishy and warm! Just the qualities we love in a girl that likes to cuddle. Girlinda has come a long way since her first day with us. She was so darn sad all she could do was shake in her kennel and give whale eyes. Now Girlinda does more wagging her body in excitement than hiding from volunteers. She is really starting to show us her happy side.
Chicago Animal Care and Control is located at 2741 S. Western Ave., Chicago, IL, and is open from 12pm to 7pm daily. Walk-in visitors are welcome and helped on a first-come, first-served basis. If you are planning to adopt the day you visit, please plan to arrive before 5:30pm. Visitors arriving after 5:30pm will still be able to view animals in Pavilions A-B-C until 7pm.
All dogs will be spayed/neutered and vaccinated before adoption.
All household members should be present to meet dogs (especially those under 18 and any decision-makers).
We recommend and can arrange dog-to-dog meet and greets for your current dog(s) to meet a potential dog sibling at the shelter. You will need to show proof of up-to-date rabies vaccination for your dog(s). Slow, cautious, and appropriate introductions are recommended after you allow time for decompression for the shelter dog.
